Mitacs is currently accepting applications/proposals for Mitacs-Accelerate.

Mitacs-Accelerate is Canada’s premiere research internship program. It connects companies with over 50 research-based universities through graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, who apply their specialized expertise to business research challenges. Interns transfer their skills from theory to real-world application, while the companies gain a competitive advantage by accessing high-quality research expertise

Deadlines

  • Applications/proposals due: Anytime throughout the year 
  • Decisions announced: Approximately 6-8 weeks after submission for single-internship applications
  • Projects can begin at any time provided a minimum of 8 weeks is scheduled between the date of application and the proposed start date

A completed proposal includes:

  • Prepared proposal template 
  • Memorandum signed by all parties
  • Current C.V. of the intern
  • Conflict of interest declaration if applicable
