Internship Title:Quality Engineer
Internship Description:Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand the Quality Assurance Manual.
  • Assist to develop & maintain inspection plans for receiving, first off, in-process & final inspection.
  • Assist in developing operator and inspection work instructions.
  • Report all non-conformances to production and quality and complete nonconforming reports.
  • Participate and support in corrective action activities (supplier, internal, customer related) including preparing reports.
  • Participate in Internal Quality Systems Audits, monitoring suppliers & initiate corrective action requests & ensure folIow-up.
  • Perform first off article inspection capability studies and dimensional reports for a new or modified part and submit samples for customer approval.
  • Assist in completing and submitting PPAP documentation (including control plans) as required by customer.
  • Assist in completing inspection & measuring equipment calibration.
  • Assist in completing gauge repeatability & reproducibility (gauge R&R) studies.
  • Perform in coming inspection as needed.
  • Communicate with all Q.C. Inspectors any new information.
  • Ensure the proper drawings, specifications & inspector's instructions are available to Inspectors.
  • Ensure customer concerns are addressed and complete corrective action reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of required quality activities & traceability of manufactured items.
  • Act as Internal Representative of the company in the resolving of matters pertaining to quality.
  • Communicate with the Director of Quality Assurance any suggestions for improving the Quality System..
  • Participate in any quality departmental meetings.
  • Perform any miscellaneous duties assigned by his/her supervisor.
  • Adhere to Bock PPL Inc. policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • 1-4 years of experience.
  • Experience in Plastic Injection Molding would be an asset
