Did you know?
The MITACS logo consists of three interlocking rings. In Knot Theory, these are known as Borromean rings, the simplest form of Brunnian links. The three rings taken together are inseparable, but remove any one ring and the other two fall apart. Because of this property, they have been used in many fields as a symbol of strength in unity. The rings were chosen for MITACS logo because of our role in connecting academia, industry and government to increase research and development in Canada.
