Take a Look Inside Canada’s Clean Energy Research Lab with Dr. Forest Wang and Meet Canada’s Top Research PhDs in Green Technology
Overview
On Wednesday, March 21, 2012, the national research organization, Mitacs, is organizing a networking breakfast to introduce 44 of Canada’s top Postdoctoral Fellows to companies working in green technology. This is an opportunity for Ontario companies to hire the PhDs and discuss major, collaborative research and development projects together.
Keynote Speaker – Dr. Forest Wang, Assistant Research Professor and Hydrogen Program Director at the Clean Energy Research Laboratory (CERL), University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT)
Dr. Wang has twelve years of industrial, research and teaching experience in clean energy, chemical processes, reactor scale-up, and chemical thermodynamics. At the Clean Energy Research Lab, he works closely with Dr. Greg Naterer, the Canada Research Chair in Advanced Energy Systems,to develop clean energy technologies for commercial and industrial application.
In addition to providing an exclusive look inside the lab and the groundbreaking work being conducted there, Dr. Wang will discuss lessons learned building a successful research consortium. Dr. Wang was instrumental in building a 30-member research consortium representing eight universities across Ontario and internationally which includes the Argonne National Laboratory and Atomic Energy of Canada.
