Testimonials

From ISCRAM 2012

I just wanted to express my gratitude to the Mitacs Conference Service team that work with Brian Fisher and I to organize ISCRAM 2012 in Vancouver.

Brian and I were very pleased with the assertive leadership and the extenuating work being put by The MCS team to organize and coordinate the logistics of ISCRAM 2012.

Everything worked out well and as expected: the conference hotel arrangements, the catering, the Wosk Centre arrangements, and the management of the conference prior and during the conference. The Mitacs team's organization, flexibility, and quick and effective response to the (many) emerging problems that arose during the organization of the conference was very much appreciated by our attendees. We got great comments about the organization of the conference coming from conference attendees, keynote speakers, ISCRAM Board, and staff from the Woks Centre and the Delta Suites.

It was a great experience working with you and I look forward to the next time we can work together again.

Sincerely,
Richard Arias-Hernandez

From the President of ICIAM

It was magnificent. You managed everything beautifully: registration, accomodations, refreshments at the breaks, and a number of special embedded events - like the memorial for Jerry Marsden - that had to be carried off with just the right tone. The venue, which you selected, was superb. On behalf of our colleagues in developing countries, we were particularly grateful for the effort to find a mix of accomodations, from inexpensive but adequate to very comfortable. Everything was done very professionally. A capable staff managed the lines for registration at the beginning of the meeting and there was, throughout, the feeling that handling 3,000 or more attendees and over 2,000 scheduled presentations was all in a day's work for you.

From GMCC-11

By all accounts, GMCC-11 was successful in all respects --organization, venue, content, quality of presentations and networking opportunities. You have been a dedicated, knowledgeable and valuable partner through the planning process. Your work, and that of your team, with the planning and execution of the conference was exceptional in all aspects. Thank you! I know we could not have done this without you --certainly not as well.

From BCNET

BCNET hired Mitacs in 2008, to manage the logistics for our 2009 Annual BCNET Conference. Today, they are successfully organizing our 2010 BCNET Conference, which is a national academic conference with over 300 attendees held at SFU Harbour Centre.

Mitacs has delivered outstanding, professional service and has diligently organized our event for the last two years. They have been very responsive to our needs, have provided excellent input and ideas for improvements, and have become an essentially part of our BCNET team.

I would highly recommend Mitacs for event logistics as they are a pleasure to work with and are highly productive.

From RECOMB 2011

Mitacs was hired in 2010 to help organize the RECOMB 2011 (the 15th Annual International Conference on Research in Computational Molecular Biology) conference, which was held in Vancouver in March 2011.

The work of the Mitacs staff was outstanding in taking charge of the many organizational details of such a large event (400+ attendants). They were both extremely efficient in making effective the decisions that were taken, taking charge of so many important details, but they also provided extremely useful advice that helped make the conference a big success. We heard only positive feedback from the attendants.

Working with Mitacs proved to be extremely useful and I was very impressed.

I would highly recommend Mitacs for event logistics as they are a pleasure to work with and are highly productive.
